  • NOTICE OF VACANCY IN OFFICE OF COUNCILLOR

     Parish of Kettlestone

    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a casual vacancy has arisen in the Office of Councillor for the Parish Council.

    If by 8 April, 2022 (14 days excluding Dies Non, after the date of this notice) a request for an election to fill said vacancy is made in writing to the Returning Officer at the address below by TEN electors for the said Parish, an election will be held to fill the said vacancy, otherwise the vacancy will be filled by co-option.

    Where a written request for an election is being made, the signatures of the ten electors should be accompanied by the printed names and addresses, so that the Proper Officer can check the validity of the request.

    If an election is called, it will take place not later than 17 June, 2022.

    If an election is not requested, the Parish Council will fill this vacancy by co-option.

  • Virtual Parish Council meetings

    Given the current situation regarding Coronavirus it is not possible to hold parish council meetings in the Village Hall. Legislation has been passed to give parish councils the option of holding meetings virtually. Kettlestone Parish Council is investigating the possibility of holding meetings via Zoom – this would also enable members of the public to attend virtually and to have oversight if they so wished.

    A link to a Parish Council virtual meeting will be published on the website.
